What is a Ultherapy?
Sagging, inelastic skin is an inevitable result of aging. Ultherapy reverses the drooping using ultrasound energy, emitted from the device as heat. This heat, delivered to deep skin and muscle, causes the skin to tighten and produce collagen. The ultrasound energy treats deep layers of tissue while leaving the surface skin untouched. This device is FDA-approved to lift and tighten.
Ultherapy candidates
Those with saggy eyebrow skin, loose chins, or fine lines and wrinkles may consider Ultherapy.
Who shouldn’t use Ultherapy?
1. Patients with heart disease and pregnant women
2. Patients with severe skin disease or lymphedema
3. Patients with inflammation of the skin should wait until the symptoms disappear.
4. Patients with a weakened or otherwise abnormal immune system should inform the physician.
5. Areas with artificial fillers or injection are not suitable. Patients who have been injection with hyaluronic acid, artificial dermis, or collagen within the last month anywhere should inform the physician.
Postoperative care
1. Hours after treatment, redness, edema, small tingling, feelings of tenderness, and forehead pain are normal.
2. The day after treatment, avoid heavy makeup.
3. A collagen-protein diet during the recovery period may improve results.
4. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and wear ultraviolet protection.
5. For 1 week, do not use glycol acid or skincare products containing alcohol, and avoid exfoliation and grinding skin.
6. Avoid steam spas, swimming, hot springs, or baths, for one week after the procedure. Heat can cause loss of skin moisture.
Treatment interval
1. The therapeutic effect lasts for 1-2 years and can be treated again every year to maintain results.
2. If you want to maintain the best possible appearance, additional procedures can be made between 6 months and a year after the procedure.
