The three-day Taiwan International Beauty Show 2018, the only B2B beauty products platform in Taiwan organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), ended on September 15th. There were 90 exhibitors using 126 booths in total and the number of visitors from Taiwan and abroad grew 9% compared with the previous year. Buyers visiting the show came from 32 countries and the top five buyer countries were Japan, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States, giving exhibitors the opportunity to show their exquisite MIT beauty products to the world.
The excellent quality of Taiwan International Beauty Show this year was recognized by the exhibitors this year. This is the first year Unicorn Skincare, a startup cosmetics brand for men, participated in the exhibition, and it is exciting news that it signed a contract with a Vietnamese buyer on the first day. HiMirror received inquiries from numerous Southeast Asian buyers during the show, and has the opportunity to expand its market in the region. Furthermore, the startup cosmetics brand ÂGE D’OR, which won the Monde Selection 2018, and the most popular neck cream in the Korean Pavilion also obtained a considerable number of trade leads. The Taiwanese brand Jourdeness also indicated that it successfully made contact with domestic and foreign B2B buyers through this trade exhibition, and that it will continue to participate in future events.
Procurement meetings were held during the exhibition, and buyers from Mexico, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Japan, United States, Bangladesh, Serbia, Montenegro, Russia, China, and South Korea participated in 136 meetings. Olive Young, South Korea’s largest cosmetics and health care chain, sent three procurement personnel to Taiwan for procurement meetings with over ten Taiwanese companies. They were deeply impressed by the high quality and exquisite MIT cosmetics products, and future business opportunities can be expected.
For the Taiwan Beauty international press conference held on the first day of the event, TAITRA invited 35 local and foreign cosmetics media from Russia, Ukraine, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Italy, Australia, and Thailand to get a look at the features and product highlights of Taiwan’s beauty industry.
