History

In November 2001, Dr. Chao-Kai Chang, the founder of the group, established the first Taipei Nobel Eye Clinic on Gongyuan Road in Zhongzheng District, Taipei. After that, five more ophthalmic clinics – Dunnan, Banqiao, Nangang and Concho – were established.

In 2005, another founder of the group, Dr. Mei-Ling Chen, established Merrier Aesthetic Clinic to combine the related characteristics of eye plastic surgery and micro plastic surgery, and then successively established five aesthetic clinics: Neihu, Banqiao, Keelung and Hsinchu.

Mendel Global Biotech Company was established in March 2005. In the beginning, its core business was gene testing, but it eventually moved on to planning health foods for the Nobel Ophthalmic Clinic and beauty care products for Merrier Aesthetic Clinic. In 2019, the company was reorganized and returned to its original roots. At present, its main business is industrial projects relted to the field of anti-aging. Health foods and beauty care products are now developed and produced by the group’s Nomel Health Technology (Holding) Co., Ltd.

In December 2008, Cornell Education Co., Ltd. (Company) was established. In order to meet the group’s talent training needs, it is responsible for the group’s education and training internally, while externally promoting cooperation with cross-strait and international health-related courses and degrees.

In October 2009, the group established the first Dunnan Nomel Opticials to meet the needs of its Nobel Eye Clinic customers. After that, four further opticians in Banqiao, Nangang and Taipei were established.

In November 2015, in view of the fact that dental whitening and health is also an indispensable part of cosmetic medicine, the group cooperated with stomatology expert Dr. Yi-Ru Lin to establish Dunnan Soreal Dental Clinic.

In 2019, the group established Nomel Health Technology (Holding) Co., Ltd. as its holding company. Meanwhile, in order to continue integrating the various upstream and downstream industries of cosmetic medicine, it actively made arrangements for day-to-day beauty clinics and anti-aging organisations. Therefore, in December of that year, Kailing Beauty Resort and Taipei Mendel Anti-Aging Clinic were established.

In 2020, in order to further develop its channels for international medical cooperation, and in addition to signing contracts with the Taiwan Foreign Trade Association, IDEA Association and other public and private organisations, Nobel Medical Group applied to establish Berkeley Health Management Consultation Company and the Taiwan Medical Industries South and Westbound Alliance Association, so as to further expand its influence in the field of big health medical services.

Purpose

Named after Nobel, the group embodies the spirit of the “Nobel Prize in Medicine“ and strives to ensure professional quality is always at its core. Its purpose is so that Nobel customers can “see clearly and look beautiful“.

Medicine is a broad and profound science. Nobel actively participates in medical societies, unions and alumni associations at home and abroad, and cultivates talent for the group to expand its external academic exchanges. To help people and the world, and offer “medical treatment without borders“, the group cooperates with charitable organisations at home and abroad such as the Association of Medical Doctors in Asia (AMDA) and Rotary International (RI) to provide free medical consultations, with a medical presence all over Taiwan and developing countries in Asia. We agree with Dr. Albert Schweitzer when he said, “The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others“.
