What is a Fraxel Laser?
The Fraxel Laser provides patients with a non-ablative, light-based treatment that does not leave visible wounds on the skin’s surface. The procedure can erase sun damage, dark spots, fine lines/wrinkles, and areas of hyperpigmentation. Since the Fraxel uses a low-level energy, there is little risk of burning and scarring. The treatment can be used on almost every area of skin, including the face, neck, arms, and hands. Even delicate areas, such as around the eyes, can be safely and effectively treated with the Fraxel Laser.
How does Fraxel work?
The Fraxel Laser creates micro-injuries to the deepest layers of the skin. The body’s natural healing process will remove the old, damaged tissue, allowing healthy, radiant skin to take its place. *
